Sorry to everyone who's commented that I haven't replied to. I've been sort of bustling. I have sort of lost track of days, let's see, what have I been up to...
After I slept Monday afternoon and evening, I got back together with Noelle and we went to Epoch, then decided it was time for a hair dyeing party. on our way into her apt we met a couple of her neighbors. We chatted about body art andstuff for a little, then went in and did each other' hair. Hers is now ( an awesome stripy black and hot pink ) and mine is a sort of turquoise (no pics, maybe I'll get her to take a snap or two next time I see her). She is very painstaking with her hair dyeing, hair clips and tint brushes and foil and all that; I'm pretty slapdash and just glop the stuff on. But next time I do my hair she is gonna help me do something snazzy!
Toward the tail end of dyeing time it was time for Noelle to pick up her boyfriend (he works nights) and I watched the baby while she did! It was for all of ten minutes and he was freshly changed and there was a bottle made if he needed it, so it was in my comfort zone. And I got some cute baby-smiles, which was nice. I'd brought the Eee so I was well occupied, too. When she got back with the bf we finished with all the dyeing and rinsing and all that and figured out what next. There was some talk of bf going to donate some plasma while Noelle and I hit IHOP but he was really tired, so Noelle made pancakes for us. I don't remember the last time someone made pancakes for me! They were apple cinnamon and yummy. After that it was raining like a mad motherfucker so we chilled for a bit and I hung out leeching off their internet and getting kisses from one of Noelle's very sweet cats. When the rain let up the bf drove me home and I just collapsed.
So... this was still Tuesday, calendarwise... waking up, got an IM from Noelle inviting me over for chili but I was just still dead like a dead thing. Chili will have to happen another time. But I was chatting with
doombuggie and he was bored and I had a wicked milkshake craving so he came into town for an Amy's run. People, if you want extra awesomeness in a milkshake, have them add a shot of hot fudge to it. So good!
When I went out there was a notice on my door that maintenance had tried to come by and couldn't get in. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR NOT NOTIFYING ME! More disconcertingly, I haven't gotten my rent invoice. So I will have to head to the office when it opens in a few hours. Grrrrr. Pisses me right off.
God, it feels weird being so social. But
doombuggie and Noelle are both members of the "psycho tribe" along with me and we can respect each other's little quirks and share anecdotes about meds and the mental health profession. They'll get it if I say I just can't leave the house on a given day, stuff like that.
Oh! The cute little plaid sneakers I ordered off Amazon that wound up not fitting me well? Fit Noelle perfectly! So that worked out well. Her feet are just a little smaller than mine so shoes that are too tight on me are just right on her. It can be nice to get a little girly with someone, in moderation.
